ABOUT LAMBERTY ART GALLERY
"The first gallery in London offering the finest of Mid Century Modern"
Andrew Lamberty founded his gallery in 1997, and it has been a busy and pioneering showcase for extraordinary pieces ever since. Lamberty sources and sells the very best in 20th century design. We were the first gallery in London offering the finest of Mid Century Modern including a back catalogue of blue onyx and aluminium tables by Ado Chale, unique pieces by Phillipe Hiquily, Curtis Jere, Jean Prouve, Jacques Adnet, early Paul Evans studio work, Giacometti furniture, Roger Capron tile work pieces, Robert Goossens for Chanel, Carlo Mollino interior design for the lutrario club in Turin, and Roberto Rida glass commodes by commission. Not forgetting the entire contents of the Bird of Paradise house by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Lamberty is selling exciting and investable art
We were in the Banksy and Stik markets early and continue to broker sales from our library of their pieces. We also sell the strong talents of Abdullah Qandeel, Chris Moon, Robin Coleman and Halliday Avray-Wilson.
We are selective.
Andrew Lamberty – a brief history
After studying at Clare College Cambridge, I trained at Christies, then headed up the furniture department at Bonhams before embarking on my solo career in the pursuit of the rare and beautiful. Like most good dealers I started at the bottom and worked my way up from van to shop, then eventually to 18 years in my eponymous gallery in Belgravia. Along the way I had some fun with my tv series Four Rooms on Channel 4 and Auction Hero on BBC2. With my long standing assistant Frika, we now operate solely online and personally. A look through the website will show a fraction of the wonderful things we have enjoyed putting into special places for special people all over the globe. We continue to sell the most exciting and stimulating art and decorative art in the world.
