Collection: Dimitri Oskin
Saint Petersburg
Dmitry Oskin is a London-based photographer and artist known for his captivating photography that merges nature and fashion. With a background in fashion styling and a degree from the London College of Fashion, his artistic journey began with early success in national drawing competitions and later flourished through his work on film and photo shoots. The foundation deeply influenced his art, where themes of elegance, beauty, and intricate detail are even present.
Oskin’s work often transforms natural subjects into striking artistic statements. His renowned series,
"Butterflies and allusions", magnify the delicate beauty of butterflies and beetles presenting them on a grand scale that reveals mesmerizing details often invisible to the naked eye. His butterflies with their soft, textured wings, echo flowing couture gowns, while his beetles are meticulously composed to resemble high end broaches or pieces of jewellery. This fusion of natural wonder and fashion sensibility transforms these creatures into icons of beauty and craftsmanship
Recency, Oskin has expanded his focus to floral compositions, capturing the fleeting grace of blooms in vibrancy and expressive arrangements. His flowers, gathered in bouquets evoke a wide range of
Emotion.
Inspired by his travels across South America, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Ocean, Oskin's work reflects e global artistic sensibility. He has exhibited internationally, including multiple sold out shows and prestigious private showings at Photo London in Somerset House (2021] He continues to create from his West London studio.
