Street art deserves its own section

It is the pre-eminent and most important art movement of our times. It will come to be as important as Pop Art.

Banksy needs no introduction. I have always predicted that he will become as valuable as Warhol.

At Lamberty we have been selling the best street artists for 10 years. We have a healthy back catalogue and know where the works are. Alas, I fear with the monumental prices being achieved at auction, owners will prefer to chance their arm in that arena. Other artists to consider are Invader, Blek the Rat and Dotmaster. King Robbo must also get a mention because of his seminal role at the inception of the urban art scene.

Ryca is something of a bridge between modern pop art and street art and his irreverent take on popular culture icons - from ecstasy pills to pub signs - is always cheering. Lamberty represents Ryan Callanan (also known as RYCA) the modern Pop Artist. Formerly engaged in producing prints and installations for other artists he is now carving out a niche for himself, using his experience in 3D work. 

 

There are also quite a lot of imitators who are not worth your money or your wall.
